SOME UGLY TRUTH
Something disturbing I see at conventions, and it was so this
weekend, People rarely wash their hands before exiting the restroom.
Since I'm known by some friends as Captain peanut bladder, I feel like
I'm getting a pretty good sample size (rim shot). So, it's pretty fair
to say conventions are wall to wall pee pee hands. Since I also see a
fair number of people walking straight from the stall to the convention
floor, poo poo hands is also well represented.
You gotta start washing your hands people. It's time to stop behaving like fucking animals or stop wondering why you are and always have been social outcasts. It's not that "they" don't get you. They get you. You're filthy oily waste-handed animals.

MORE NEW COMMISSIONS
It's been fun getting back to these. It's been ages (years) sonce I've been able to take a bite out of my list.
These were done for one guy. They're characters from the pulps who were inspirstion for Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Attempting to capture the feel of the pulps I broke out the dry-brush. I hadn't used it in ages and struggled out of the gate, but don't feel too terrible about the results. The Bat was the first one I worked on and hardly has any on it. Olga came next and is, probably, overworked. Gladiator is my favorite of the bunch. It's the best drawn and designed of the three and I'd settled into the inking approach enough to not hate it. It's almost like I knew what I was doing.

SPLIT 7" ART
Drew the art for a couple of local bands' 7" split. Pretty different for me. Went for a 70"s underground psych feel. Give the burners something to stare at while they listen. I've always wanted to do a the art for something like this. I don't know The Dirty Streets, but I dig Iron Tongue. They have a Clutch kinda thing going on.

FORT WORTH APPEARANCE OCT 29TH
I you're interesting in bearing witness to a brilliant disaster, I'll be speaking at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus. I'll be discussing my long and disappointing career in comics and the creative process that led to this sad state of affairs. There will be a slideshow that might have been put together by a low functioning monkey followed by a question and answer with crying.

MY DIGITAL COMIC
It's been forever and a day since I last posted anything here. If anyone is still (was ever) following this thing, I have some news.
I have a new creator owned comic, SHRINKAGE. It's written by, Conan O'Brien and Daily Show writer, Rob Kutner. It's available on the Farrago Comics app. All content is free. So, go get it.
VERY IMPORTANT: When setting up age parameters, do not select all ages.

COMING SOON
For the first time in years I've put together a sketchbook to sell at shows. A very limited number to begin with. If i don't lose my ass, I'll do more. It's an ashcan sized affair. I have about half of another put together, too. So, one could lead to more...

DEADPOOL
My first issue of DEADPOOL is on the stands. So, I can start posting images without spoiling anything.
Oh yeah. Did I tell you i was drawing DEADPOOL? Five issues of it. How about that?
Here's a sampling of art. If you want to see more you'll just have to buy the damn thing.
Or you can buy some pages here. http://cadencecomicart.com/artist.php?artist=20&book=1260

MAKING LEMONAIDE
Well, here's the heartbreaking news. I won't go into details, but
things have not worked out in NYC. It's just too damn expensive to live
here, even in the outer territories. So, sad to say, Mindy and I are
cutting bait.
The silver lining I'm focusing on is, I should finally have time to work on personal projects I've been putting off for far too long.
I'm sure you're all almost as sorry as we are, but I don't really feel like talking about it. This is just an information dump. No need to post condolences. Just buy us a drink and pat us on the back when next you see us.
I'll be here until the end of our lease. I'm buried with work, but I'll be making forays into the city to say goodbye. I love this place and will miss it terribly.

SKETCH CARDS?
I was asked to do some, recently. A first! I don't care for drawing small. Thought I'd hate doing these. I wasn't wrong. Not completely. I might try to do some more. See if I can get used to it.
First time using the markers I bought over a year ago. First time doing anything in color in about 20 years. I don't hate them. Not completely.

NOT THE MOST OFFENSIVE THING TO SPILL OUT OF MY BRAIN-PAN ONTO PAPER.
The request was for Jesus and Thor drinking together holding their Hammers. I added the piss-wine. I, actually, pulled back a bit on this one. It could've worse.

I'VE BEEN A BAAAAAD BOY!
Way too long since my last post. Between the move and work it's just slipped my mind. Here's a Wolverine drawing to tide you over until I can get back to you.
